1. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, NeuroLux Cortex may process the following categories of information:

• Account and authentication information, including an internal user identifier and session information used to authenticate you.
• Instagram and Meta account information made available through Meta APIs, which may include Instagram account ID, Facebook Page ID, Instagram username, connection status, and authorization information required to maintain the connection.
• Authorization credentials, such as access tokens, when they are required to provide connected Instagram functionality.
• Content you provide to Cortex, including uploaded images, media, captions, prompts, publishing instructions, and scheduling information.
• Publication information, including scheduled jobs, publication status, timestamps, and identifiers returned by Instagram after a publication is created.
• Technical information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service, such as application logs and error information.

2. How We Use Information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to provide and operate NeuroLux Cortex. This may include:

• Authenticating users and maintaining sessions.
• Connecting and managing authorized Instagram accounts.
• Creating, scheduling, and publishing content at the user's request.
• Generating or assisting with captions, hashtags, publishing plans, and other AI-powered content functions.
• Processing user-provided media when required for Cortex features.
• Tracking publication status and preventing unintended duplicate publications.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting.
• Protecting the security and reliability of the platform.

3. Instagram and Meta Platform Data

NeuroLux Cortex connects to Instagram through services and APIs provided by Meta Platforms. We request and process only the Meta permissions and data needed to provide the features that the user chooses to use.

Cortex does not publish content to a connected Instagram account unless publishing has been initiated, approved, scheduled, or otherwise requested by the user through the service.

Users may revoke NeuroLux Cortex access through their applicable Meta or Instagram account settings. Revoking access may prevent Cortex from continuing to provide Instagram-related functionality.

4. Artificial Intelligence Processing

Some Cortex features use artificial intelligence services to analyze user instructions or media and to generate content such as captions, hashtags, recommendations, and publishing plans.

When an AI-powered feature is used, the information necessary to perform that feature may be processed by an AI service provider. We aim to limit the information sent to such providers to what is necessary for the requested function.

5. Service Providers

NeuroLux Cortex relies on third-party infrastructure and technology providers to operate the service. Depending on the feature being used, these providers may include:

• Meta Platforms for Instagram connectivity and publishing.
• Supabase for authentication, database, and related backend services.
• Anthropic or other AI providers used by Cortex AI-powered features.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers used to run the Cortex application and its backend services.

These providers may process information only to the extent necessary for the services they provide to Cortex and are also subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Cortex functionality, maintain an active account or connection, complete requested publications, provide support, protect the service, and comply with applicable obligations.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is processed.

7. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of information associated with your use of NeuroLux Cortex.

We may request reasonable information to verify the request and identify the relevant Cortex account or connected Instagram account.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

Access to connected account credentials and backend systems is limited to the extent required to operate and maintain the service.

9. Sale of Personal Information

NeuroLux Cortex does not sell personal information or connected Instagram account data to advertisers or data brokers.

10. International Processing

Because Cortex relies on cloud and technology providers, information may be processed in countries other than the country in which the user is located. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use providers with appropriate privacy and security practices.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may have rights concerning your information, including the ability to request access, correction, or deletion.

You may also stop using Cortex or revoke its access to your connected Meta or Instagram account.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Cortex features, data practices, service providers, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised version is published.
